Bashamichi station

“Bashamichi” station is 40 mins far from my studio by train.

I was impressed to see the doom ceiling of station,

Natural sunshine come into the base looks holly.

“Minato Mirai Line”, means future of bay area, will end at Yokohama china town.

“Bashamichi” station is the first step.

The meaning of “Bashamichi” is road for coach.

James Curtis Hepburn arrived in Japan at 1859 with his wife.

He was a doctor and evangelist to spread out jesus way.

End of Edo era, he start to teach Bible to the young peoples in Japan.

In 1868 , Japan changed to modern country as “Meiji era” came.

“Shiloh Church” was built in 1892 with red bricks , as a modern Western culture center.

Many people studied Bible to know western life, and value of God.

Someone sent on a mission–especially a religious or charitable mission to

a foreign country was James Curtis Hepburn himself.

His will are now still moving forward.

You might not know what is “Hayashi Rice”.

So some people say “Hayashi Rice” was named who cooked that first. The Chief was “Hayashi”.

“Hayashi”is my family name but I do not know about the relation.

“Hayashi Rice” is a dish , beef stroganoff with rice.

Well grilled onion and beef are stewed with demi-glace sauce.

Amazing smooth and rice, dark chocolate colored demi-glace sauce.

Western restaurant makes rich demi-glace sauce is excellent.

That name is “Grill S” near Bashamichi station.

Walking down the Isezakicho street

Isezakichio street

Isezakichio street

10 mins walk from the church.

Here is the famous street in Yokohama.

It called “Isegakicho”.

Lots of the shop are on the street that is kind of mall.

I realized that elder people are sitting on the bench, not to do.

Old shop tend to disappear but not chain shop.

Old restaurant “Araiya” that is famous for “Old fashion Sukiyaki”, is now rebuilding.

The verses from the Bible

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.

I walked 40 mins to see the last Art at the street.
