2026 Day 2 in Nagoya

After eating lunch with my Agent, I moved to Nagashima onsen, located in Nagashima Spa Land.

I found Nagashima Onsen on the google map.

I didn’t know how to get to Nagashima Onsen, so I asked Google.

It’s very easy to get there.

There is a direct express bus from the Meitetsu Bus Center (south of Nagoya Station).

It costs 1,400 yen one way. It takes about 50 minutes to get there.

Part of the amusement park has been turned into a hotel, and Nagashima Onsen is located there.

The admission ticket system is to purchase it at the ticket counter in the amusement park.

It’s a bit confusing, isn’t it?

The price varies depending on the time of day you enter. After 3pm it’s 1,900 yen.

Historically, the amusement park was built after Nagashima Onsen was built.

Since it is a hot spring, photography is not permitted.

In the end, it was a very satisfying hot spring. It would be a waste to visit for just a day.

If possible, it is better to stay overnight.

Enjoy Nagoya eel at “Unatoyo”

I had dinner at an eel restaurant in the suburbs of Nagoya, within walking distance.

The restaurant is called Unatoyo.

It’s a small, historic restaurant. When you think of Nagoya, you think of Hitsumabushi rice bowl.

Mabushi don

Mabushi don

I chose the Mabushi Donburi, which cost 4,090 yen.

First, eat it as is. Next, add condiments and wasabi.

Finally, pour dashi over it and eat.

The great thing about mabushi donburi is that you can enjoy it in more than three ways.

The eel was small. The sauce was a little sweet. It was grilled in the Kansai style.

After all, eel is tastier in Tokyo.

I returned to Tokyo on the Shinkansen that left Nagoya Station at 7pm.

Leviticus 11:1-47

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them, “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth. Whatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat. Nevertheless, among those that chew the cud or part the hoof, you shall not eat these: The camel, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you. And the rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you. …
