The tsunami swallows everything. There is nothing we can do.

The Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011.

The damage was immense, and many people lost their lives.

I am still overcome with sadness, like a trauma.

I created the series of works “Human as a Being” to provide relief to myself, the victims, and their families.

I am a slow worker, but somehow I felt someone guided to paint.

I will grow older.

This natural disaster will be forgotten by many people, just like the tragedy at Pompeii.
