Friends of mine invited me to visit Arima Onsen, hot spring resort.
From my studio it takes 4 hours to reach there.
You can take “Shinkansen express”, Shinagawa to Shin Kobe, almost 3 hours then take the bus to Arima.
I know it is better to take a bus at Sannomiya station. It is near Shin Kobe station.
My friend picked me up by car so I was efficient.
Arima Onsen, hot spring has a long history.
Ancient time, two gods found this hot spring.
They saw three wounded crows soaked in hot spring and in the meantime they recovered well.
Emperor knew the place they visited to heal themselves.
After great wars, 16th centuries, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, the Kampaku, supported Arima onsen to be rebuilded from the ruin, battlefield.

This is a pure natural sparkling water.
Everybody can drink here.
Of cause you can put it in your bottle.
I tried it but it has strong character, taste. It is not for me.

I recommend you to take an easy trip and onsen, hot spring.
There are many hotel resorts that offer you daily use but usually you have to stay in the hotel.
Onsen will be good for your health to stay a couples of days, weeks.
Long term treatment should be good .
In germany they know the effectiveness of hot spring. Spa is very fine.
But I want to stay in the city of Kobe, you can go to “Gin no yu“.
It cost you US4$. No time limitation.
You can be there for many hours but please take care of yourself not to be boiled.

It is called “Kin no yu” Golden hot spring.
Two places are not far but the character of each hot spring are different.

It is free.
If you walk up to the mountain, you can be healed by hot spring.

I really enjoyed the two type of hot spring, silver and gold.
I felt warm inside my body.
It is not a love but heat.
I found an italian ice cream shop.
It called “Arima Gelateria Stagione“. A lot of people were in lane.
I tried the weekly flavor “Pistachio” and “Blood orange”.
Very tasty.

It will be 40 min ride to Kobe city.
