Great Buddha of Kamakura

I visited “Great Buddha of Kamakura” for the first time.

“Kamakura” is famous for samurai’s city 12th century.

It takes one hour trip by train from my studio.

The sky was so beautiful naturally I wanted to go.

First you reach to the Kamakura station, Japan railway.

Then transfer to “Enoden, Enoshima Dentetsu” and move three stations to “Hase”.

You can walk to “Great Buddha of Kamakura” from Hase station.

The sidewalk is narrow. Be careful to pass each other.

You have to pay 3 US$ to get into the temple.

Here we see “Great Buddha of Kamakura” in front of us.

It was a daily day but many students and elderly people visited there.

The statue is made by copper.

We can not see the inside structure but I think there are wooden lattices.

There are two windows for air ventilation, I am not sure.

Most of people does not care the back of the statue but I do.

I like the design of Great Buddha of Kamakura, very much.

You can reach to the sea near “Hase” station.

In fall few people were there.

The suffer and a few people watching smartphone and the sea.

Had lunch near Kamakura station, “Aratama“, pork cutlet restaurant

My wife doesn’t cook pork cutlet in our home.

Because the room get oily.

So it is my pleasure to go for pork cutlet outside.

Resultly I do recommend this restaurant called “Aratama” near Kamakura station.

You can eat canadian pork less than 10 US$ as a lunch in lunch time.

But I took special pork made with “Kinako, soybean powder”.

It cost you almost 20 US$ but it worth to eat.

Look at the cross section of the meat.

It is slightly pink and juicy enough.

Eat parly white rice and pork cutlet.

It is almost heaven.

So delicious!!  May sinful.

Leviticus 11:7-8

And the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you.
