Kyogamine -north part of Kyoto
Even ordinary Japanese people would not think that this is Kyoto Prefecture.
This is Kyogamisaki, the northernmost part of the Tango Peninsula.
From Toyooka Station, I took the Tango Railway to Mineyama Station, then a 90-minute local bus ride.
The bus’s final stop is Kyogamisaki.

Kyogamine -north part of Kyoto
There seems to be a lighthouse about 30 minutes walk away, but I give up because it’s hot.
I took a video of Kyogamisaki near the parking lot.
The birds’ voices and the sound of the wind really relax me.
The sunlight is hot, but the cool breeze from the Sea of Japan is soothing.
Return to Mineyama Station and then move to Amanohashidate Station.
The famous Amanohashidate

The famous Amanohashidate
Amanohashidate is one of Japan‘s three scenic views.
The sandbar is located in Miyazu Bay in northern Kyoto Prefecture.
Since you can’t see Amanohashidate very well from the ground, I head to “Amanohashidate View Land“, which is a 10-minute walk away.
You can get to the top of the mountain for 1000 yen round trip.
You can either take the cable car or the lift.
The lift is best on a nice day, as there is no waiting time.

The famous Amanohashidate
It’s a good idea to take a commemorative photo on the mountain.
There are also attractions for lovers.
My recommendation is to drink cold coffee. It’s refreshing.
I took the lift back home too.
I moved from Amanohashidate Station to Fukuchiyama Station.
The last stop was a highway bus bound for Kobe-Sannomiya.
It was comfortable.
Enjoy authentic cold noodles in Shin-Nagata

Ganso Heijyou Reimen ya
A four minute walk from Shin-Nagata Station is the famous restaurant serving cold noodles, Ganso Heijo Reimen.
The homey restaurant is crowded with throngs of people looking for delicious noodles and grilled meat.

Kochyu jan
This is Korean-style sweet miso paste. This is gochujang.

bibin men cold noodle
I think many people like hiyashimen, a type of cold noodle soup, but I prefer dry hiyashi noodles, called bibim noodles.
It will also help you forget the fatigue of your journey.
I’ll be returning to Tokyo tomorrow morning.
