I was invited to the first rated hotel lunch.
The hotel was “Fujiya“.
I never been there but so different hotel.
It has history so old but very modern. I would rather say hybrid of oldness and newness.
It is western and Japanese and southern, modern.
I knew it finished their reconstruction recently.
We took the course ” Spring lunch” in french “Dejeuner de printemps” at the main dining room.

How beautiful is it.
I really think this dish is an fine ART.
Actually it is terrine with marinated salmon and spring vegetables. Healthy salads.
Beef clear soup.
It is delicate taste.
Hairy fine vegetables are on the top.
Sauteed Japanese rockfish and bamboo shoot, with butter sauce.
Hakone has the sea near.
Fresh seafood are also available.
Crunchy fish skin is very fine and rich butter flavor is a beautiful harmony.
Sauteed beef loin port wine sauce.
It is almost raw meat but done with something warm.
The beef surface is crunchy but inside is soft and tender. You may not use your knife.
The sauce of port wine, famous madeira sauce, was perfect in taste.
This is traditional french dish but it was sophisticated with modern techniques due to the great and artistic chef.
It is worth to taste here.
Orange cake and honey ice cream.
I traveled to many countries and had dessert in many restaurants.
I would rather say that Japanese cake is the best.
May not any argument.
It is delicate and appropriate taste for me.
Moved to “OKADA MUSEUM OF ART“
One rich man “Kazuo Okada” collected beautiful Japanese art.
I think he would like to keep his art finely and stable, he made a museum.
It is a great pity that I can not show you any of them but it is worth to see.
Entrance fee is almost US$30 per person.
Include parking fee, footbath fee so if you go by car, it is not so expensive.
When I was leaving the museum, I took the footbath.
It was warm on my foot but chilly of my body.
It is a good spring day of Hakone.
Refreshing tiny trip.
