“Mikimoto Pearl Island” is here in “Toba City”.
It takes 15 mins from “Iseshi station” by train.
You can take both JR or Kintetsu line.
“Toba City” is famous for Aquarium, dolphins but not my mood.
Look at the beautiful sea.
The sea is the mother of everything.
Pearl is one of them.
“Mikimoto Pearl Island”, all the things about the pearl.
Maybe for security reasons, the Island has a bridge to get into.
Long ago it was a pure island and you have to take a boat to reach there.
You will be here within 15 mins walk.
On a fine day, it is good to walk and watching the sea.
You have to pay 1650 JPY(17US$) for the entrance fee.
It might be expensive but it worth to watch around the island.
There are many monuments about the pearl.
This monument shows us here in the first place to succeed to produce a natural pearl by a human in Japan.
This statue is the founder of Mikimoto Pearl, Mr. Koukichi Mikimoto.

Mr.Mikimoto succeed to develop a pearl industry here.
We can learn the process to nature a pearl.
But it could be boring to many people so I omitted it.
Famous artwork “Yaguruma”
A combination of complicated functions made an artwork.
It called “Yaguruma”.
Born in 1937, it has many gems, diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and pearls.
It is gorgeous indeed and transformed into 12 different ways.
It changes itself as a ring. broach, hair ornament.
Based on precise Japanese technology and sense of Art.

Move to “Shima Kanko Hotel” famous restaurant “La Mer”
It takes 40 mins from ‘Toba” station to “Kashiko jima” station.
You will take the Kintetsu line.
You will see the famous “Ago Bay”, where naturing the pearl.

“Shima Kanko Hotel” is famous for its seafood Ise area.
The restaurant called “La Mer”, in French the sea.
I started a la carte.
Cheese and Proscuitto with persimmon sauce and smoked Red snapper with orange.
Perfect choice.
Healthy and yummy.
Ise prawn bisque.
Excellent, it should be famous.
I recommend you all to taste this famous dish.
Ultimate Abalone steak.
It is crunchy outside but very soft and gentle chewy inside.
The good flavor of abalone is coming out fully inside your mouse.
I do not know how to cook in this way.
It is just Art.
You may be charged over US$300 per person.
But I think it worth to enjoy.
