This is my first time stay in Nagoya city.
Nagoya is almost center of main island Japan.
You can reach there by Shinkansen, super express railway in 90 min from Tokyo.
It is calm and stable railway.
Nagoya is famous city for Nagoya castle.
Ieyasu Tokugawa Shogun built it in 1612.
Now we can walk around the castle, as a huge park.
It cost you 500 yen.
The castle has huge Japanese garden.
Tons of trees and flowers.
Beautiful garden is far from the castle, battle.
Castle is designed for battle.
But at the same time load is living inside so he and his subordinates needed relaxation.
I think it is very good to walk through the garden in 4 season.
The manhole cover is designed to represent Nagoya city.
I have no idea to explain all images.
The huge moat and castle walls make you realize that Nagoya Castle was built as a battle facility.
With such high and strong structures, it must have been difficult for enemies to attack.
But the beauty of the curves is astonishing.
I feel a strong artistic element.
Famous Nagoya specialty: misokatsu
Nagoya has a unique food culture that uses miso, and the most representative dish is miso katsu.
Miso katsu is a regular pork cutlet topped with a sweet miso sauce.
This restaurant is called “Kanou” and is the oldest restaurant that has been serving miso katsu.
The opening hours are short, so it may be difficult to get a chance to eat it.
However, if you want to eat miso katsu, I strongly recommend you try this restaurant.
Because I am sure that this is the real miso katsu.
The miso cutlet here had a strong miso flavor and was not too sweet, so it was really delicious.
Dinner was also Nagoya-specific Kishimen noodles
Kishimen is a type of flat udon noodles that is unique to the Nagoya region.
Although it is flat, it has a firm bite when eaten cold and is very delicious.
This restaurant is the famous ”Yondaime Ippachi”.
It’s a very cheap and delicious restaurant where you can eat kishimen.
If you visit Nagoya, this is a restaurant you should definitely count on.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
