I visited ‘Mukou eta Hachiman shrine‘.
It was an hour drive from Fukuyama.
I surprised that the highway to this shrine was free.
The god who lives here is ‘Oujin emperor‘.
The Japanese have traditionally accepted this sovereign’s historical existence, and a mausoleum (misasagi) for Oujin is currently maintained.

No water, rain and river can interfere the shrine.

I really enjoy the scene and drove to Onomichi.
Tried first Onomichi Ramen, Maruboshi
There is still bad influence of COVID-19 in Japan, Onomichi.
Famous seafood restaurant does not open yet.
Many Japanese are crazy to wear on face mask even outside.
I think it is a kind of embodied religion to wear on mask.
There is no scientific reason for people to use face mask.
The ramen was so delicious.
It costed US6$.

You can take a ropeway or drive up to the mountain.
New building was opened as observatory.
First you have to try the famous ‘Lemon Ice cream‘.
It is about US2$.
The region is famous for producing lemon.

It shaped as a sloop.

Drove to Tomonoura hotel

It was an hour drive from Onomichi.
Tomonoura is a small fisherman’s village.
But recently many gorgeous hotels are developed here.

And of course you can enjoy hot spring, Onsen to relax.
No KARAOKE, but silent black sea.
